DIETS DO WORK. DOES WEIGHT WATCHERS?

“Weight Watchers” current ad slogan is “DIETS DON’T WORK”. How far they have slid down to sheer marketing hype! That “DIETS DO WORK” is described in a scientific study in The Journal of The American Medical Association, 297:969, 2007. That is scientific proof done in a well designed study. It is not “proof by testimonial” which is the fraud that weight loss programs perpetrate on the public. Testimonial ads are fraud, not proof. They merely show that some people lose weight when they decide to lose weight, regardless of the method that they choose to use. Can you believe that in the many years of it’s existence that “WEIGHT WATCHERS” has never done a scientific study to prove that it’s programs work?

Well Weight Watcher started out with a diabetic diet that the founder picked up in the office of the Commissioner of Health of the City of New York. That lady was a marketing expert, a fantastic person who single handedly created Weight Watchers without knowing much of

any thing about weight loss at first. And she set the tradition for the program forever.

“Diets Don’t Work” reflects badly on Weight Watchers history which was totally based on the diet obtained from the diabetic diet obtained from the city of New York. But now “diets do not work”. In the early 60’s, Weight Watchers founder Jean Nidetch began inviting friends into her Queens home once a week, to discuss how best to lose weight. She obtained her first diet from the offices of The Commissioner of Health of New York City. From early 1960 to this year, Weight Watchers was based on that Diabetic Diet. Now they says that “DIETS DON’T WORK” . Are they admitting that Weight Watchers was a fraud from the early 1960’s to 2006? My that is a moment in marketing history. To tell the truth.

Hype, BS, and marketing drivel works! Marketing Wizards tell you that It is easy to lose weight! You do not need to restrict your eating behavior in any way. These foods are negative calorie and you can eat all you want. Just come to Weight Watchers meetings and learn how to make Sham Tort our way and you will become thin as a rail. Actually many people just go to a weight watcher meeting to weigh in and all they get out of the program is the weigh in. After that they leave and do not bother to hear the drivel spouted by the leaders. They talk about food all the time at the meetings. They think food. They twirl recipes in the air and that is supposed to help you lose weight. What a fantastic program. Written by marketing pros, publicity hounds, and never one iota of evidence that their program has any value whatsoever. … on the hoof. They never proved that their programs works to help people lose weight, and they pull a new program out of their pastafazoo every season. Now that is something. People who have not lost weight in The Weight Watchers experience ought to tell their story here, so we can get relieffrom their marketing garbage.
